The Parish of Saint Luke is very large with a lot of poverty and lack of basic ameneties. We struggle to get our children into school, feed the people properly.
Little or no Tithe and Offertory collectionsThe priests in my country don’t receive a monthly salary. I depend on what comes from my Christians. My painful situation is that I am serving the poor people who hope that I will be able to give them what they need.
We normally collect offertory worth 5 dollars during Sunday Mass and about 70 dollars in the monthly tithe. This little resource makes the running of the parish almost impossible and it hurts and discourages my ministry. Any donation, no matter how small is accepted and distributed with sincere gratefulness.
